God and I, we ……

Haggai 1:13 I am with you says the Lord

1 Cor. 6:19 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who lives in you and was given to you by God?

1 Peter 2:5 You are living stones that God is building into His spiritual temple.

God chooses to live in us. To work through us. But we first have to believe that He loves us and chose us.

It is easier to trust someone that you know especially if they love you.

We have trouble trusting God because:

  1. we are not sure He loves us
  2. we don’t get everything we want when we want it
  3. we feel we have to work for Him

God is trustworthy and faithful. He desires to use your situations, circumstance to reveal His love for you. His desire is to teach and reveal to us the depth of His love.

Haggai 1:7 “This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: Look at what’s happening to you!  8 Now go up into the hills, bring down timber, and rebuild my house. Then I will take pleasure in it and be honored, says the Lord. 9 You hoped for rich harvests, but they were poor. And when you brought your harvest home, I blew it away. Why? Because my house lies in ruins, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, while all of you are busy building your own fine houses.

Now (when? – now) go up (do – take action) into the hills (where? – the hills, you have to climb – it will take some effort), bring down (do –  more action) timber (what? – supplies), and rebuild (do – more work) my house (what is His house? – you, your spiritual body). Then (when? – after you do, do, do) I will (He will – do, do, do) take pleasure in it (take pleasure in you, His spiritual body) and be honored (He will be honored in you), says the Lord.

We need to go into the hills and bring down some spiritual supplies to rebuild His temple. God is the vine (John 15) and we are the branches.

We must:

  • Stay attached to Him.
  • Believe in Him.
  • Rest in Him.
  • Trust in Him.

He will produce the fruit that remains in us and then He will prune us to make us more fruitful.

He continues to work on us so that we can bear more fruit that will honor Him. He takes pleasure in you.

James 1:16 … And we, …, became His prized possession.

v.22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. (seek 1st the Kingdom of God, enter into My rest, trust in the Lord, wait upon the Lord, Love your neighbor as yourself, …)

James 2:12 … remember that you will be judged by the law that sets you free. 13 There will be no mercy for those who have shown no mercy to others.

We are judged by the law of righteousness through Jesus blood. His blood cleanses us and sets us free. See others through His blood.

James 2:20 faith without good deeds is useless.

God and I, WE …… love on those the Lord brings into our path.
